About the Team:

The E-commerce team are masters of blending art and science. They combine creative thinking and analytics to deliver an industry-leading experience across our digital platforms. This team works closely with the Brand Marketing and Merchandising teams to bring product stories to life in an impactful way, and partners hand-in-hand with our ProdUX team to explore new areas of opportunity in our e-commerce ecosystem. As fans of all things e-commerce, they’re also always on the lookout for the latest digital commerce trends.

Rothy’s is looking for a Director, CRM Marketing to join our Digital Commerce team. This person is responsible for owning the customer activation strategy, and growing and optimizing our CRM channels. They will oversee and manage our customer database, and create holistic journeys that drive LTV and engagement across all segments, delivering the right content to the right person at the right time. This leader will need a deep understanding of RFM modeling, cohort creation, test and learn methodologies and Loyalty program management, while being steeped in retail experience. We’re looking for someone who is both data-driven and creative, who can create a macro vision and roadmap but also partner with their team and cross-functional partners on implementing it.

What you’ll do:

  1. Own the activation of customer database across all recency and value segments and build the retention roadmap to drive LTV and engagement across all customer segments
  2. Help the team create and deploy segmented, personalized, and automated strategies across all channels, including email, paid social, SMS, and direct mail
  3. Launch our first ever loyalty program and drive material increases in customer engagement
  4. Own our cohort model to predict and report out on KPIs driving LTV and continue to build the forecasting muscle with the entire team
  5. Provide Retention viewpoint and analysis for the Growth business forecast
  6. Work with Analytics to develop predictive models that we can leverage to better target customers across segmented efforts
  7. Work closely with Brand Marketing, E-commerce, Merchandising and Acquisition teams on strategic projects to continue to scale the Rothy’s business
  8. Manage and develop the Retention team (3 people currently, and growing!)
  9. Identifies department patterns/trends and builds optimal department policies and processes.
  10. Requires and models an inclusive culture throughout the department by ensuring respectful and equitable practices.
  11. Ensures consistency and fairness in departmental processes that result in equitable outcomes.
  12. Effectively leads the department through complex, ambiguous situations and change

You have:

  • BA/BS (degree in math, marketing, analytics or something comparable preferred)
  • 8+ years of retention experience across multiple channels like email, SMS, paid advertising at a retail or DTC brand
  • Deep understanding of lifecycle marketing, attribution, how various channels interplay with one another, and the KPIs that drive retention
  • Prior experience developing, launching and running a loyalty program
  • Prior experience working within email platforms, e-commerce platforms like Shopify, and basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Retail experience required
  • Exceptional analytical skills: expert in excel, Google Analytics, Looker, etc.

Pay Range:

$185,000-$200,000 annually

Base pay is one part of the total rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
